Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo go head to head in what looks an evenly-matched Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal in Abidjan on tonight, with each team hoping to book a place in the last four of the continental jamboree.
DR Congo arrived the quarter-finals without winning a single game in normal time, backing four draws, proving to be difficult knot to break down.
Guinea on the other hand who qualified as one of the best third needed a 98th minute winner in the quarter finals to eliminate Equatorial Guinea.
It will be the fourth time both nations are coming against each other. DR Congo is yet to beat Guinea in three previous group stage meetings, including a 2-1 loss in their last meeting in 2004.
DR Congo will play in their first quarter-final at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations since 2017 (lost 2-1 to Ghana), while Guinea lastly reached the semi-finals in 2015.
The game kicks-off at 9pm in the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé of Côte d’Ivoire
