Ticha Bizel-Bi Mafor is a reporter in multiple capacities. She reports for multiple platforms including The Guardian Post newspaper where she is Yaounde City Reporter. She joined the team in September 2022, bringing her youthful passion for journalism. She hails from Pinyin in Santa Subdivision, Mezam Division of the North West Region.
Mafor completed her Master's degree in January 2021 after earning her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea in 2018.
Mafor's reporting interests lie in health, feature stories, and entertainment. Prior to joining The Guardian Post, she worked as a reporter at Royal FM Radio in Yaounde. She had served as a part-time lecturer, teaching Corporate Communication at the University Institute of Sciences and Technology Yaounde (IUSTY). In this role, she has successfully guided two groups of HND-level students through their studies, with a third group currently in progress.
As an active member of various journalism associations, Mafor has held positions such as Communication Officer for the Network of Journalists for Diplomacy and Strategy (REJODIS), and she is a member of the Yaounde Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English-speaking Journalists (CAMASEJ).
She is also affiliated with the Journaliste d'Action, Femmes de coeur (JAFEC). During her time in Buea, she gained experience working with media outlets like Chariot Radio, Clone Multimedia, and Arrey-B.
In addition to her journalistic pursuits, Mafor finds joy in event organisation, particularly in the entertainment industry. She contributed to the organisation and marketing of the international movie premiere "Bamboozler."
Her exceptional communication skills have led her to become the Secretary General of various social groups and a highly recommended Master of Ceremony (MC) for various events.
