The Sixty officers who make up the 18th batch of the Yaoundé International War College ESIG have been certified after eleven months of hands-on training. They earned a diploma after being schooled on operational planning, strategic analyses, conflict resolution on a national and global scale and carried out field trips both in and out of the continent to blend theory and practical.
The graduation ceremony of the trainees from 21 nationalities, Cameroon inclusive, was chaired by the secretary of state to the Minister of Defense Incharge of National Gendarmerie, Galax Etoga Landry who represented the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of defense on Thursday July 27, 2023 in Simbock.
Addressing the laureates Minister Galax charged them to be loyal to hierarchy and work for the interest of their respective nations.
In his congratulatory message, the French Ambassador H.E General Thierry Marchand on his part applauded the graduates for resilience and excellence. The diplomatic emissary to Cameroon noted that ESIG offered training with the best higher military courses.
The sixty laureates are returning to their nations satisfied after being equipped with tools to enhance teamwork. They are resolved to take cooperate interest over personal goals and systematically bring unifying strategies to resolve conflicts in Africa.
