Men believed to be separatist fighters in Mamfe, a town in the South West Region, set fire to a hospital.
The assailants stormed the Mamfe district hospital on the night of June 8th, 2022. They went on to order all patients out of the structure before setting it ablaze.
About 45 patients are said to have been pulled out of the structure. The armed men then proceeded to set the hospital buildings ablaze.
While no patient was hurt, the entire property was razed to ashes.
The hospital incident happened barely a day after five members of the armed forces were killed and three injured in Njitapon in the Noun division, West Region.
They were attacked by armed men who destroyed their base and razed a vehicle to ashes.
Separatist leader, ‘General’ No Pity known to operate from the Ngohketunjia division claimed responsibility for the attack.
