Consultant and Editorialist, Edmund Kamguia has questioned the delay in an investigation launched into the abduction and murder of opposition politician and lawyer, Senator Henry Kemende.
Speaking on Equinoxe TV’s 237 debate today, Edmund Kamguia said it was a sad thing that authorities had gone mute.
“I’m asking myself what has happened to the case of the assasination of Barrister Henry Kemende of the SDF party. He died under very unclear circumstances and up to now, nobody is saying nothing about it,” he remarked.
Senator Kemende Henry it should be recalled was shot dead following his abduction on the evening of Tuesday, January 11, 2021, by gunmen at Mile 2 in Bamenda in the restive North West region.
Following the assasination months ago, authorities had announced an investigation to track his killers.
Senator Kemende is one of thousands killed within the context of the separatist conflict in Cameroon’s English speaking regions.
