North West governor, Adolphe lele L’Afrique has announced that works have resumed on the Bamenda-Babadjou stretch of road.
He made the announcement today, speaking to reporters on the side-lines of the bi-annual governors’ conference holding in Yaoundé.
“I will like to thank the minister of public works who has ordered the works on the stretch of road between Babadjou and Bamenda. Work is ongoing now,” he explained.
Governor Lele added that “things are already set for the ring road whose contracts are soon going to be signed … the order to start work between Matazem and Bamenda has been given to the contractor by the Ministry of public works. We are just waiting for the work to begin…”
The governor becomes another in a long line of officials that have promised works on the said stretch of road. Yet, it remains a difficult stretch for road users who are compelled to make multiple delays just to get across.
