About the book
With a focus on students growth and success the author, Herbert Ambesi through the 160 page manual intends to lead students from his personal experience navigating to excellence. This is much appreciated in the forward by PCC’s Communication Secretary, Rev. Dr Pepertua Fonki as she writes:
“The writer’s experiential approach enables the reader to follow a step by step guide towards success. Without success, goals, dreams and even entire civilizations cease to survive. It’s a station of life that we dream about- Effective Principles for Success is a must have for people of all ages. It’s important to note the definition of “success” may vary for each individual. However, principles are vital for its realisation.”
According to PhD fellow, Martin Elonge he notes in his review that “in describing the concept of developing a clear vision, Herbert successfully distinguishes vision from variations of impact. In this, he emphasises that just because it is creating impact, does not mean it is the right vision. Don’t forget, impact is two ways: positive and negative. Thus, to be effective, to be successful as a student, which is the main stay of this book requires a pinch of the wholistic life in different doses over time.”
The Authors note
Herbert Ambesi believes writing is a medium to pass a message. In this book, he suggests the principles in the work have been tested and proven. To him, true success is only tied to the right means reason why he pointed more at students. This comes against the backdrop of growing examination malpractices. And so he encourages, “failure is a loophole on the part to success”.
